Terms and conditions International economy service
Dimensions and weight
The consignment may consist of only one package with the following restrictions:
- - Maximum weight per shipment: 31.5 kg
- - Length of the longest side ≤ 200 cm
- - Sum of 2 x Width + 2 x Height + Length ≤ 330 cm.
Packaging
The sender is obliged to provide packaging for the shipment, as well as reliable strengthening and compaction of the contents within the package for safe ground transportation and delivery.
Separate packages / divisible units, externally attached to form one package (eg two or more cartons, fastened with foil, packing tape, etc.) are not accepted.
Addressing
The sender is obliged to provide complete and accurate addressing, including providing a postal code at the place of delivery and a telephone number for contact with the recipient, which support timely and trouble-free delivery. Shipments with incomplete or inaccurate addresses, as well as those without a telephone number to contact the recipient might be serviced with an increase in the expected delivery time.
It is obligatory to provide a telephone number for contact with the recipient in the country of delivery, as well as a telephone number for contact with the sender-payer of the shipment, in case the latter is a person (legal or natural) without a contract with Express One. The absence of any of the listed contact numbers is a reason for Express One to refuse to accept an international courier shipment.
Delivery and undelivered shipments
The courier service icludes up to two attempts for delivery in the country of destination. In the event that, for objective reasons, the consignment cannot be delivered to the consignee within the framework of the intended delivery attempts, the consignee may request one of the following options:
- - third delivery attempt - additional price for a third delivery attempt, amounting to 50% of the price of an outgoing shipment to the respective country. Exception - third delivery attempt not available for shipments in Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Sweden
- - Redirection of a shipment to another address in the same country - additional price for forwarding / change of address in the country of destination in the amount of 100% of the price for delivery of the outgoing shipment to the respective country. Exception - redirection / change of delivery address is not available for shipments with delivery in Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Sweden.
- - Return of undelivered shipment to a sender from Bulgaria - additional price for return of undelivered courier shipment to a sender in Bulgaria in the amount of 30% of the price for delivery of the outgoing shipment to the respective country. Exception - Zone 6 countries where the return of an undelivered shipment is 100% of the price for delivery of an outgoing shipment to the respective country.
Upon request by Express One regarding an undelivered shipment, the sender shall, within 10 days, provide a clarification of the preferred option within the meaning of item above. In the absence of clarification by the sender, Express One at its discretion takes action to complete the courier service in possible options destruction in the country of destination or return of undelivered shipment in Bulgaria, and delivery to the sender occurs only after payment of the additional price as stated above. In case of refusal of the sender to pay the price and to receive back the shipment within 7 days of notification by Express One, the latter shall store the shipment for a period of 14 days, after which it has the right to destroy the shipment.
Customs Clearance
For countries / territories in Zone 6, the price includes customs duty for entry into the country of delivery. Incurred customs duties are additionally due by the consignee.
The sender provides the necessary documents in the country of dispatch and the country of receipt. The conditions for delivery are: delivery and customs service - payable by the sender; duties and taxes on imports into the country concerned - payable by the consignee.
For non-documentary shipments with delivery to non-EU countries, prior agreement on the content is required before acceptance of the shipment.
Prohibited items and substances
Prohibited items for transportation:
- - Narcotic, intoxicating, psychotropic, highly active and poisonous substances;
- - Weapons, explosives, incendiary or other dangerous substances or objects;
- - Indecent or contrary to moral norms objects;
- - Articles and substances which, by their nature or packaging, pose a danger to the life or health of Express One employees or others, or may contaminate or damage other items and postal equipment;
- - Religious materials of sects and organizations banned or not registered in the country;
- - Movable cultural monuments for which no permit or certificate has been issued;
- - Excise goods without excise duty (cigarettes, alcohol, etc.);
- - Perishable goods and materials, food and foodstuffs, medical or biological research and samples, medicines and medicinal supplements;
- - Gas and liquid pressure vessels and aerosols, including empty;
- - Deep frozen substances;
- - Dangerous goods (ADR), acetone, dry ice, perfumes;
- Other substances or articles specified in international agreements, as well as articles, the import or distribution of which is prohibited in the country of destination.
Coins, banknotes, banknotes, travel checks, items of value to the sender, platinum, gold, silver, worked or unworked precious stones and other valuables shall not be placed in postal items, with the exception of items of declared value.
